Alonzo Harden Jr.

HARDEN JR., ALONZO, 72, Georgia- Alonzo "Bud" Harden Jr., 72, passed away on Friday May 13, 2011. Mr. Harden was born in Indiana, and eventually moved to Florida where he raised his family then to Georgia where he lived his final years. In addition to being a great father, loving husband, and kind person; folks that knew Bud would also agree he was a hard worker and had always put the needs of his family first above his own. In fact Bud was still working until very recently as General Manager for Prestige Home Centers, Inc. a position he held for over 20 years. With his years came wisdom and Bud could always be counted on to provide guidance or help to his family or other that have sought his advice. Mr. Harden was also a dog owner and loved the special bond an owner has with his furry, four legged companions. He also enjoyed gardening and working on outdoor projects. Backyard sheds, children's playgrounds, fencing, and barns, no matter how complex the project; each was completed and to the amazement of his children seemingly with no written diagrams or instructions! He is survived by his devoted wife Helen Harden of Sylvester Georgia; his (4) children Ryan Harden, Gainesville, FL; Christopher Harden, Ocala, FL; Alonzo Harden III, Trenton, FL; Gabrielle Ross, Houston, TX; and (4) grandchildren; Indiana, Jacob, Morgan, and Alonzo IV; who all miss their " Papaw" very much.
